Naomi’s History

Kristina Bowen Updated

Medical School:
Pacific Northwest University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, Yakima, WA

Philosophy of Care:
My goal as a physician is to come alongside my patients to partner with them in their quest for health and wellness. I believe the body and mind are designed to heal, but the busy, stressful world we live in does not aid that process. There are many ways we can help our bodies function optimally. Sometimes medications are necessary, but diet and lifestyle modifications may be just as effective, if not more so in many cases. Every person is different, there are multiple pathways to achieve wellness. I desire to help my patients discover what works for them, and I hope to improve their quality of life through respectful partnership.

Medical Interests:
Full-spectrum family practice, osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT), integrative medicine, whole person wellness, underserved populations.

Personal Interests/Hobbies:
Cooking, baking, traveling, hiking, gardening, knitting, sewing, and quilting are all things I love doing. In this hectic season of life, most of my free time is spent doing life with my husband and two young children.

What drew you to CWFMR and/or Ellensburg:
I have lived in Ellensburg since 2006 and love the community here; it is very diverse and supportive, and my husband and I can’t think of anywhere else we’d rather raise our family. During my third year of medical school I spent 4 weeks in the Ellensburg clinic and I felt right at home. I love that the clinic serves a wide variety of people, many who may not otherwise have access to healthcare, and provides quality care to everyone. We plan to stay in Ellensburg long term, so the opportunity to train in the community is very exciting.
